EntropySoft, the ECM connectivity leader, releases a connector for IBM Content Manager

EntropySoft, specialist of the ECI market (Enterprise Content Integration) and unstructured data integration, announces the addition of an IBM Content Manager connector to its portfolio. By making available yet another connector, EntropySoft is once more working towards simple, normalized access to all content repositories. This connector is therefore another step towards increased content interoperability.

EntropySoft’s IBM Content Manager connector enables read and write access to content stored in the IBM Content Manager repository.

Our connector is designed for versions 8.3 and 8.4 of IBM Content Manager. It uses specific APIs to be able to create, read, write, and modify all types of content, ie the four different types of items in Content Manager. This is a very powerful capability for all our OEM partners and their customers.” said Nicolas Maquaire, EntropySoft CEO. “By releasing this connector, we are further consolidating our market-leading position for enterprise content-centric applications connectivity. Our connectors and products portfolio are helping IBM customers to achieve smooth content transfers between the IBM Content Manager repository and other repositories. We are also giving our partners the opportunity to interact with this award-winning platform.

EntropySoft is a connectors’ factory. The extensive support of features of CMS applications by the connectors as well as their sheer number make them perfect OEM material for many software industries. Already, leading global companies such as Endeca, Coveo, Kazeon, or IDS Scheer are using EntropySoft connectors and technology.

The IBM Content Manager connector is part of EntropySoft’s connectors’ portfolio, which consists of more than 30 connectors, the biggest offering of connectors on the market. Recently developed connectors include HP TRIM, Oracle UCM, IBM WebSphere Portal Document Manager and Interwoven WorkSite. The plug-and-play EntropySoft connectors list includes major applications such as Microsoft SharePoint, EMC Documentum, FileNET P8, Open Text LiveLink, Interwoven TeamSite etc...

On top of the read / write connectors, EntropySoft has two technological layers (Content ETL and Content Federation) that can also be OEM’ed to facilitate integration and interoperability.

EntropySoft’s strategy is to work on the completeness of features supported by each connector as well as developing multiple connectors for the same application in order to best satisfy customers’ functional and technical constraints. All EntropySoft connectors are written in Java, and are also accessible via .NET and web services.

EntropySoft’s OEM clients have specific requests for their specific markets. This means that the connectors have to support the widest range of functionalities. The state-of-the-art connectors therefore help customers focus on their differentiators, allowing them to concentrate on their core business while EntropySoft takes care of the connectivity.
